Each role within our organization contributes to our mission of making a positive impact on the world. In this role, you will support multiple groups, including railroads, roadways, and utility coordination. As an employee-owner, you will be responsible for:

  • Applying engineering and detailing techniques to develop civil engineering/design activities.
  • Working under the guidance of a Professional Engineer to assist in checking drawings and calculations, developing material lists, and reviewing construction submittals.
  • Assisting with the development of project deliverables, including calculations, design plans, cost estimates, specifications, and feasibility reports.
  • Traveling to client offices or field locations to participate in civil field assessments activities.
  • Developing a strong understanding of the railroad industry and interacting with clients and other rail industry professionals.
  • Working closely with Project Engineers and Managers to gain engineering experience and obtain a professional engineering license.

Preferred qualifications include an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate, ability to travel for field assignments, and a strong interest in the transportation industry. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, hands-on experience with MicroStation, InRoads, and GEOPAK-route design, and MS Office Applications experience.
