Procurement Specialist

Job Title: Procurement Manager

United Wheels Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our global procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality products from around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a global supplier base to ensure best-in-class partnerships.
• Negotiate product prices and payment terms to meet or exceed company goals.
• Purchase products at a competitive cost without compromising quality and delivery from sources that are viable, innovative, and socially responsible.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, making periodic visits to evaluate performance and quality processes, and resolve any production issues.
• Work closely with Category/Product Management Teams to ensure product specifications are clear and consistently achievable to attain seamless new product introductions and model changeovers.
• Research, analyze, and recommend potential suppliers to support strategic initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely supplier cost records in our ERP system.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of three years of prior procurement and materials management experience, ideally in an international environment.
• Comprehensive communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• This position requires approximately 10-15% travel and the ability to obtain a valid passport.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office Suite.
