JOB SUMMARY:We are looking for an Endoscopy RN to join our healthcare team.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist credentialed physicians in performing endoscopic procedures for diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients.
You will collaborate with a dedicated team that treats each other like family and works together in a cooperative environment.In this role, you will:
- Exhibit knowledge and application of the nursing process in the peri-operative environment.
- Prepare and equip endoscopy suites for the required procedures.
- Adhere to established protocols for scheduling patients in the OR module for each procedure.
- Educate patients about the procedure, providing comfort and support, and prepare them for the necessary procedure.
- Demonstrate understanding of and ability to follow moderate sedation policies and procedures.
- Be knowledgeable about medications used during procedures and monitor patient status.
- Identify potential and actual complications related to endoscopic procedures.
- Assess and document patient responses, monitoring and recognizing changes in physiological and psychological status.
- Foster, maintain, and provide an environment that supports quality patient care through effective resource and personnel utilization.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
- BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required.
- ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required.
- Acute care experience required.
- Previous endoscopy experience preferred.
- CGRN preferred.
