Position Overview:
The role of the Skilled Carpenter encompasses providing essential operational support in reconstruction projects for clients. The ideal candidate should possess substantial carpentry expertise, demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, and contribute to the development of project scopes. An Intermediate Carpenter will engage in residential, commercial, and multi-family assignments, manage emergency services, and enhance their material knowledge and carpentry skills for career advancement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely manner
- Address inquiries related to projects and escalate concerns as necessary
- Handle project contents with utmost care
- Establish dust containment areas for construction activities
- Perform tasks such as flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling items
- Complete shrink wrap training and associated projects
- Recognize insulation types and apply material knowledge on a daily basis
- Conduct inspections of vehicles and ensure cleanliness
- Maintain a strong focus on detail and customer service
- Comply with project timelines and safety regulations
- Exhibit flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
- Accurately document work hours, equipment utilized, and participate in training sessions
