Position Overview:
This role is designed for a Registered Nurse who is either CDCES certified or eligible for certification, dedicated to supporting the Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes department. Key responsibilities encompass counseling, education, and management for pediatric patients diagnosed with diabetes and their families. The position entails both inpatient and outpatient care, focusing on educating families about diabetes, managing acute blood sugar situations, and facilitating diabetes management within clinical environments.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Experience in pediatric nursing
- Certification in BLS and Infection Control
- Strong communication abilities
- CDCES certification is highly desirable
Preferred Skills:
- Capability to conduct point-of-care blood glucose assessments
- Proficiency in insulin administration
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
Department: Pediatrics

Work Schedule: Day Shift
Salary Information: $57.35 per hour
