Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Safety Oriented Delivery Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of solar panels and related equipment to various distribution centers, job sites, and customers.

This is a full-time position that requires 40 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday, with a schedule of 7am - 3:30pm. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of products, including solar panels, and ensure they arrive at their destinations in perfect condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Electronic Driver Logs and complete Pre-Trip Inspections and Post-Trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Knowledgeable regarding all company products and services.
  • Load the truck and inspect the loaded truck for accuracy of order, compliance with weight restrictions, and proper securing of load.
  • Maintain accurate records for submission to the Fleet Department.
  • Ensure safety of vehicle; report all mechanical problems promptly to the Fleet Department.
  • Provide quality service to customers using clear communication skills when unloading the material at the point of delivery.

Requirements:

  • A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License and DOT Medical Card are required.
  • Forklift Training/Certification; Certification is a plus.
  • Truck Mounted Forklift Training/Certification.
  • Knowledge of the Samsara software for maintaining Electronic Drivers Logs, Pre and Post Trip Inspections is a bonus.
  • Satisfactory driving record per company policy.
  • Must pass all DOT requirements including physical examination and drug screen.

The estimated salary for this position is $29-$31 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401k matching, and unlimited paid time off.
