LUKE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Traveling Registered Nurse - Neonatal ICU. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Perform physical exams and health histories, and provide health promotions, counseling, and education to patients and families.
- Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as needed.
- Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals, and make patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
- Recognize and respond to adverse signs and symptoms, and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans and actions.
- Conduct research to support improved practice and patient outcomes.
- Associate's Degree of Nursing.
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within the last 5 years as a Registered Nurse in a NICU setting.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Possess and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E Program Certifications.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
Services shall be provided in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a Sunday through Saturday schedule to be determined. The ability to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects is essential. Teamwork skills, time management skills, and adaptability are required to meet deadlines in a deadline-intensive environment.
