About the Role

As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. You will be responsible for supporting women throughout their labor and delivery experience and ensuring the safe arrival of their babies into the world.

You will play a crucial role in providing care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. This includes monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assessing progress during labor, and assisting with pain management techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience.

You will collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions. You will also assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.

During the postpartum period, you will educate and support mothers and their families, providing breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess progress during labor, and assist with pain management techniques
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions
  • Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures
  • Educate and support mothers and their families during the postpartum period

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
