Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced OTR Truck Driver to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting our products across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles and loads before each journey.
- Arrive promptly at designated pickup and delivery locations.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Fleet Manager throughout your routes.
- Represent Eden Foods professionally and courteously to customers and the public.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report any issues to maintenance personnel.
- Manage vehicle permits and supplies effectively.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Contribute to route optimization and procedural improvements.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Foster positive relationships with shipping companies, suppliers, and customers.
- Assist in developing and maintaining an efficient back-haul program.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Valid Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement or the willingness to obtain it within 120 calendar days of hire.
- Minimum of 3 months of full-time Class A Tractor/Trailer driving experience in the past 2 years.
- No more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
- No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last five (5) years.
- No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs convictions within the last ten (10) years.
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
- No preventable accidents resulting in a fatality or catastrophic injury in your driving history (commercial motor vehicle).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
