As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop essential fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence within an educational setting.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor abilities, sensory processing, and overall functional capabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring occupational therapy support.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students' functional needs.
- Monitor and document students' progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable insights regarding students' goals and progress.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff members on strategies to enhance student participation and independence within the classroom.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Oregon state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, with a focus on pediatric populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues.
