Building Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Paulding County Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and construction duties in the maintenance of District buildings, facilities, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction duties in the maintenance of District buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Inspect District and school buildings to identify maintenance needs.
- Install, repair, and refurbish cabinets, bookcases, and other classroom furniture and equipment.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools and equipment.
- Communicate problems and concerns with equipment to appropriate manager/supervisor.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year successful maintenance experience with knowledge of methods, equipment, and materials used in general maintenance work.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
The successful candidate will work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to fumes, dust, and odors. The ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, feel, talk, hear, crawl, and to read a variety of printed and coded materials is required.
