Position Overview:
In this role, you will work under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN) to deliver essential patient care and support services. Your primary responsibility will involve the precise interpretation of cardiac rhythms for a designated patient demographic through continuous monitoring, adhering to established standards of care, policies, and procedures. You will integrate your educational background, technical skills, and patient interaction abilities to foster trust and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Utilizing sound judgment and clinical expertise, you will assist in executing the patient's care plan based on their diagnosis in a timely manner. Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies, is paramount to ensure patient privacy and safety.
Job Description:
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- EKG - Technician Certification - Required
- Proven understanding of fundamental patient care techniques, medical terminology, and equipment.
- Capability to identify emergency situations and respond appropriately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with team members, supervisors, patients, and other personnel.
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and related systems.
- Adept at interpreting various forms of data and instructions, whether written, oral, or visual.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and operate within standardized policies to meet objectives and deadlines.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Skill in identifying, assessing, and resolving routine issues by selecting suitable solutions from established options.
- Commitment to safeguarding each patient's protected health information (PHI).
- Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with colleagues and staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
