About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at ConvenientMD. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing patient health, determining abnormal conditions, and performing therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient interviews and physical examinations to gather medical histories and assess patient health.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, and interpret test results to determine abnormal conditions.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, including administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, and emotional problems of daily living.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and advise management on needed actions.
  • Contribute to the development of the healthcare team by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree and certification by a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body is required.
  • Active license in the state of employment by start date.
  • Active BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
