About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at ConvenientMD. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing patient health, determining abnormal conditions, and performing therapeutic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient interviews and physical examinations to gather medical histories and assess patient health.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, and interpret test results to determine abnormal conditions.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
- Provide patient education and counseling on therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, and emotional problems of daily living.
- Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and advise management on needed actions.
- Contribute to the development of the healthcare team by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree and certification by a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body is required.
- Active license in the state of employment by start date.
- Active BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
