Position Overview
The Automotive Body Repair Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a remarkable customer experience through the careful evaluation and high-quality restoration of vehicles to their pre-accident state. This position involves disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles while adhering to our standards of speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
- Assess repair needs and prepare cost estimates for clients.
- Utilize various tools to address body damage, including hammers and cutting equipment.
- Realign vehicle frames and chassis to rectify structural issues.
- Replace damaged vehicle sections with new or aftermarket components.
- Repair or replace glass and interior parts as necessary.
- Prepare and repaint vehicles using factory-specified colors or agreed-upon equivalents.
- Complete work orders within designated labor timeframes and conduct post-repair inspections.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interpret job orders and work independently.
- Collaborative skills to work effectively with fellow technicians.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle body repair methods and procedures.
- Proficient in the use of tools necessary for the trade.
Additional Requirements
- Capability to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds when necessary.
- Competence in visually assessing vehicle damage under different weather conditions.
- Physical ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.
