Position Summary
  • The Metallurgical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing heat treatment processes to guarantee top-notch quality and operational efficiency.
  • This position requires close collaboration with the production team to analyze metallurgical characteristics and develop new heat treatment methodologies that align with production objectives and client requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include the development and maintenance of heat treatment processes such as vacuum hardening, neutral hardening, case hardening, nitriding, and the analysis of microstructures and physical properties of metals.
  • Designing, implementing, and refining heat treatment processes for diverse metal alloys is essential.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to production personnel and cross-functional teams is a crucial aspect of this role.
  • Training staff on metallurgical concepts, heat treatment techniques, and quality assurance standards will be part of your responsibilities.
  • Conducting metallurgical evaluations of heat-treated products to ensure they meet industry standards and customer specifications is necessary.
  • Establishing and managing inspection and testing protocols for heat-treated materials will be expected.
  • Investigating and resolving metallurgical challenges, non-conformities, and customer feedback is part of the role.
  • Preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including metallurgical assessments, process records, and failure analyses, is required.
  • Maintaining detailed records of process metrics, testing outcomes, and product specifications is essential.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards is a priority.

  • Staying updated with advancements in metallurgical science and heat treatment technologies is important for success in this role.
Candidate Profile
  • A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a metallurgical or materials science position, ideally within a heat treatment or manufacturing context.
  • Proven expertise in various heat treatment processes and metallurgical analysis methods is essential.
  • A strong grasp of metallurgical principles and heat treatment techniques is necessary.
  • Familiarity with metallurgical analysis instruments (e.g., microscopes, hardness testers, optical spectrometers) is expected.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of PPAP, Control Plans, and PFMEAs is beneficial.
