Job Title: Histology Technician

Frontier Dermatology is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team. As a Histology Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing tissue samples for microscopic examination.

Responsibilities:
  • Accession specimens to gross
  • Prepare skin tissue specimens for microscopic examination
  • Process and embed samples
  • Section paraffin-embedded samples
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, control slides, and special stains
  • Accurately label tissue samples and slides
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including preparing and maintaining laboratory reagents/stains/solutions, performing routine equipment maintenance and cleaning, filing slides and blocks, and assisting with quick accession of cases
Requirements:
  • HT (ASCP) or Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science (HT eligible)
  • Frozen section experience preferred, but not required. Training available
