Clinical Nurse Leader for Pulmonary and Nephrology Care

Job SummaryServes as nursing Team Leader, providing education, training, and oversight to assigned nursing staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, ability to promote a conducive environment for learning, and effective communication with patients, physicians, and other Rex staff.
Responsibilities- Education and Professional Development
- Covers design and implementation of educational programs to meet identified learning needs of staff, patients, and families.
- Promotes professional growth of self and staff through various development opportunities.
- Revises patient progress plans accordingly.
- Maintains accountability for carrying out components of the plan.
- Promotes an environment that values diversity, open communication, teamwork, and exceptional service.
- Ensures availability of necessary care and services for assigned shift.
- Cultivates an environment conducive to recruiting and retaining staff.
- Provides feedback to Manager/Supervisor and Director to assist in hiring, promoting, transferring, and terminating staff.
- Determines priorities for care based on complex situations.
- Includes physical, psychosocial, and educational needs in assessment.
- Establishes standards of excellence for areas of responsibility.
- Ensures consistent implementation by staff.
- Evaluates research applicable to practice and promotes changes in standards of care as appropriate.
- Guides research development and implementation.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Graduate of Accredited Nursing Program.
- Bachelor's degree (BSN) required.
- NC RN Licensure and BCLS certification.
- Minimum of one year experience working as a licensed RN.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures.
- Effective communication skills.
This position qualifies for our UNC Rex Incentive Program, offering up to $20,000 commitment incentive or up to $25,000 tuition loan forgiveness. Additionally, this position is eligible for up to $10,000 in relocation assistance (based on location) and our employee referral program.
Salary and Job DetailsThe estimated salary range for this position is $35.47 - $54.18 per hour. The standard hours per week are 40.00, and the work type is Full Time. The job assignment type is Onsite, and the work schedule is Night Job.
