Position Overview: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Autism Support Educator for a full-time role in Lakeway, Texas. This position is designed to support a middle school classroom focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will be committed to fostering an inclusive and effective educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and support to upper elementary students within an ASD classroom, managing a caseload of 5 students.
  • Design and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to the specific needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with two paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary to meet educational objectives.
  • Engage with parents, school personnel, and other professionals to enhance student support.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the formulation of educational and behavioral strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certification with a specialization in Special Education.
  • Preferred experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, capable of effectively collaborating with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work alongside classroom paraprofessionals and maintain a supportive learning environment.
