About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Lockheed Martin's Chelmsford Operations facility as a Manufacturing Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced manufacturing processes and procedures to support the production of critical aerospace and defense systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement assembly techniques and materials for microwave hybrids, including substrate and die epoxy attach, wire bonding, and seal/hermeticity testing.
  • Develop and specify procedures for the fabrication of tooling and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
  • Investigate hardware failures and initiate corrective action to ensure product quality.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Outstanding work ethic, excellent teaming skills, and ability to multi-task with multiple projects and job tasks.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, proactive, and able to professionally support and quickly adapt to changes in program or customer requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with management, customers, and peers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work overtime if needed to support special projects.
  • Microwave Hybrid manufacturing experience, Design of Experiment experience, Lean/Six Sigma certification, J-STD-001 certification, Automated epoxy dispense & component placement, Automated Wire Bonding Equipment, and defense industry experience.
