  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays
  • Compensation: Starting pay at $30.91 per hour
  • Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts
  • Certification: ARDMS certification or RDCS required
Relocation assistance is offered for candidates relocating from outside the metro area.

Position Summary:
The Cardiac Sonography Specialist performs diagnostic procedures to evaluate cardiac structures and hemodynamics in line with established protocols. This role encompasses both adult and pediatric echocardiography.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts appropriate diagnostic procedures, documenting patient test results and communicating findings.
  • Ensures patient comfort and safety during examinations, notifying physicians of any abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintains adequate supplies and confirms all equipment is functioning correctly; reports any deficiencies or malfunctions.
  • Positions patients accurately and selects appropriate anatomical and technical parameters.
  • Adheres to regulatory agency standards in all activities.
  • Ensures timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, including image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
  • Maintains a constant state of alertness and safety.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.
Experience: No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:
Regular standing and walking, frequent use of vision and depth perception for both near and far distances, and effective communication skills are essential. The role involves frequent lifting and moving of patients and objects weighing up to 25 lbs, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
