Job Title: Debt Recovery Specialist

Location: Anderson Township, OH (In-office)

Salary: $20/hour + monthly bonus (Estimated annual salary: $41,600/year)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team at Giles & Harper, LLC. As a key member of our collections department, you will play a crucial role in collecting certified delinquent taxes and debts owed to state government agencies, including college debt.

Your primary responsibility will be to negotiate and structure payments with debtors, utilizing your excellent communication and negotiation skills to achieve successful outcomes. You will also maintain a high degree of customer contact, through inbound and outbound customer calls, ensuring a positive experience for our clients and their customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect certified delinquent taxes and debts owed to state government agencies, including college debt
  • Negotiate and structure payments with debtors
  • Maintain a high degree of customer contact, through inbound and outbound customer calls
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience in the collections industry, with an emphasis on consumer collections
  • Ability to work onsite Monday thru Friday, 8a-5pm
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment
