Endoscopy Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Endoscopy Nurse to join our team at UCI Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting with endoscopic procedures.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders.
- Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practices.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of nursing care, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely nursing records, ensuring confidentiality and respect for patient dignity.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records of traceability for endoscopes and associated equipment.
- Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment, following infection control protocols and policies.
- Ensure safe discharge of patients from the Endoscopy unit, providing discharge teaching to patients and family members.
- Current registered nurse licensure in good standing.
- One year of recent GI experience in a hospital-based setting.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification required.
