Job Overview:
  • The Hostess plays a vital role in the restaurant, as they create the first and last impressions for our guests, significantly influencing the overall effectiveness of the dining experience.
a) To ensure guests feel welcomed and valued; impress them with outstanding service.
b) To facilitate smooth table turnover, efficiently seat guests, and optimize table usage.
c) To guarantee guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience, including takeout orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet and welcome guests; provide menus and seat parties, using sound judgment to distribute tables evenly among service stations.
  • Escort guests to their tables, carrying drinks as necessary, and seat them courteously.
  • Address immediate inquiries regarding the menu and beverages, and inform servers of any special requests.
  • Guide guests in creating a well-balanced meal, possessing thorough knowledge of the menu (taste profiling, ingredients, sauces).
  • Engage in suggestive selling to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Accommodate special seating requests, such as additional chairs, booster seats, and high chairs for children.
  • Handle phone calls, take messages, confirm reservations, and manage seating arrangements for balanced service.
  • Ensure accuracy in orders and special requests; assist kitchen staff in preparing takeout orders, present orders to guests, and process payments.
  • Address any guest requests or complaints, seeking assistance from servers or management as needed.
  • Support servers in serving beverages, wine, and cocktails.
  • Perform opening or closing duties as scheduled, including cleaning tasks in the front desk/lobby area.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe dining environment by performing necessary cleaning tasks.
  • Complete additional tasks or administrative duties as assigned by the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
