We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome opioid addiction and achieve long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist patients in managing crisis situations and developing coping strategies.
- Evaluate patient progress and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Facilitate intakes, establish treatment plans, and develop aftercare and discharge plans for patients.
- Provide individual and group counseling services, direct service hours, and coordinate all services throughout treatment.
- Current ADT or ADT eligible status in the State of Maryland.
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals, with a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
