Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Hardware Engineering to lead our team in the development of cutting-edge server motherboards. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Schematic Design and Development: Responsible for creating and implementing schematic designs for server motherboards, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and reliability standards.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including layout engineers, validation engineers, software engineers, and firmware engineers, to ensure seamless product development and quality.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, layout instructions, and test procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet engineering specifications, EMC and energy regulations, and customer performance expectations.
- Communication and Support: Provide clear documentation and technical support to contract manufacturers and production teams during product sample and production stages.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience working with x86 server/workstation boards.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of X86 architecture, comprehensive knowledge of PCB layout, debugging tools and software, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.
- Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of PCB layout, OrCAD/Allegro tools, circuit design, and PCB structure; knowledge of high-speed circuit design and voltage regular circuit design; familiarity with digital scope and high-speed bus measurement.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving capability, and strong ability to adopt and learn new notions and technologies; self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary range of $210,000 - $246,000, depending on location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
