The Chemical Engineer is seeking a Production Engineer to provide essential technical support to our operations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your knowledge of plant operations and technology by analyzing historical data and collaborating with subject matter experts.
- Build trust with the operations team through exceptional problem-solving abilities and technical proficiency.
- Utilize established Most Effective Technology while being open to new solutions that may arise.
- Ensure effective use of Process Automation to enhance plant performance.
- Collaborate with experts to troubleshoot advanced issues and enhance operational discipline.
- Conduct daily reviews of operational logs and alarm histories to stay engaged with plant activities.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to ensure optimal operations.
- Respond promptly to operational challenges and emergencies, acting as a technical authority during unexpected events.
- Provide leadership and expertise in optimizing raw material efficiency, focusing on yield and waste reduction.
- Ensure adherence to plant operating permits and regulations.
- Understand site integration and contribute to optimizing overall system performance.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance profitability and service efficiency.
- Maximize plant margins by understanding daily production metrics.
- Establish metrics and management systems to optimize cost and profitability.
- Demonstrate technical skills and process safety expertise through certification.
- Mentor technical staff and operators in process fundamentals and safety practices.
- Exhibit leadership behaviors consistent with our core values.
- Take ownership of process performance metrics, including safety, production rates, yield, and uptime.
- Lead teams in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field is required.
- Experience in Process Safety Management is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Project Management expertise is beneficial.
- Six Sigma certification is preferred.
