Our addiction counselors deliver prevention services and therapeutic interventions. Their responsibilities encompass screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referrals, documentation, and collaboration with other professionals regarding client care. Counselors aid clients in formulating treatment strategies and provide essential support and feedback to help them maintain sobriety and lead fulfilling lives free from addiction. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with various health and criminal justice professionals using tact and diplomacy
  • Communicate proficiently with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
  • Document individual and group progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery
  • Develop individual treatment plans within required regulatory timelines
  • Conduct weekly reviews of treatment plans with clients
  • Ensure discharge notes for all clients are completed within 24 hours of discharge
  • Report any complaints or violations of licensing guidelines to the clinical supervisor promptly
  • Collaborate with clients to finalize individual treatment plans within specified timeframes
  • Participate in regular care team meetings tailored to client needs
  • Embody and promote the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Meet pre-employment requirements and maintain compliance with all relevant state, national, and job-related guidelines
  • Exhibit versatility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
  • Maintain daily communication and collaboration with the treatment team regarding personal caseloads
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for program participants
  • Uphold ethical standards in accordance with professional licensing boards
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations
  • Engage in continuing education to enhance skills and stay updated on current practices
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field
  • Licensed or associate license in the State of Georgia
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant counseling or therapy experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of managerial experience
  • Successful completion of drug screening and criminal background checks
