About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to lead our solar construction projects in the southeast region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of construction and start-up activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Construction Execution Plan, ensuring that all project stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Direct the overall construction effort, including coordination of erection activities, suppliers, direct hire craft labor, subcontractors, startup, and testing activities.
  • Manage overall construction and startup costs to meet established budgets, reviewing and analyzing project performance on a regular basis.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, owners, alliance partners, craft labor, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring a high level of trust and credibility.
  • Lead the site management team, directing implementation of project construction Safety & Health and Loss Control procedures, ensuring that the project meets agreed safety targets.
  • Direct implementation of project quality assurance procedures, ensuring that the established level of quality is achieved.
  • Direct implementation of project commissioning and testing plan, ensuring that necessary resources are provided for commissioning.
  • Approve field purchases, equipment rentals, extra work authorizations, subcontractor progress and final payments, B&V professional time sheets, and B&V professional expense reimbursements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in solar construction management or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of experience with 3 years at superintendent level or above on large solar projects, or in construction management role on smaller projects without a Bachelor's degree.
  • Self-Perform/Direct Hire Construction experience.
Work Environment

This position is considered a safety-sensitive position. The work environment is typical of a construction site, with exposure to inclement weather, hazardous equipment, and physical demands including lifting, standing, and walking long distances.
