Preconstruction Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Director to join our team at Southway Builders. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the preconstruction process from project inception to contract execution.

Your primary focus will be on coordinating and communicating with clients, design partners, subcontractors, and internal project teams to establish schedules, timelines, budgets, and final contract specifications.

You will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve professional and personal goals.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of preconstruction management experience and strong leadership and/or management experience.

A proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Project, and estimating tools such as BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, COMPASS, and/or Procore is preferred.

Additionally, you should have demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.

• Establishes preconstruction schedule, agreement, and fees.
• Monitors budget deliverables, timeline, and expenses vs. preconstruction agreement commitments.
• Manages owner contract through to execution, with assistance and feedback from Vice President or Project Executive.
• Negotiates contract terms and legal language.
• Ensures all contract exhibits are accurate and complete.

**Salary:** $118,000 - $174,000 per year based on qualifications and experience.
