Certified Firefighter

The Town of Cary is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Firefighter to join our team. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical assistance, and participating in fire suppression activities.

• Respond to alarms and participate in fire suppression activities
• Provide medical assistance and emergency care
• Participate in training and drills to maintain skills and knowledge
• Work collaboratively with other firefighters and emergency responders
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid NC driver's license with a good driving record required
• Two years of full-time paid firefighter experience required for Firefighter II position
• NC Fire Fighter I & II certification required for Firefighter II position
• NC EMT certification required for Firefighter II position
• Ability to pass a physical agility test and medical exam
