Welcome to our unified P-12 district, serving approximately 4,300 students. Our district comprises the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education.

Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country, close to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe.

We have two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, two junior high schools, and six elementary schools.

Job Summary

The Amador County Unified School District offers year-for-year experience credit when placing employees on the salary schedule. To qualify, experience must be full-time, contracted work, and over 75% of the school year. Substitute work does not qualify.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Three Current Letters of Recommendation

If you don't have an ELA (English Learner Authorization) or CLAD (Crosscultural, Language & Academic Development) certificate, you will be required to apply for an emergency CLAD permit with the CTC as a condition of employment.

During the first year of employment, you will need to earn the English Learner Authorization or CLAD certificate by coursework, exam, or a combination of coursework and exam. The associated costs for the emergency permit and coursework/exams will be at the employee's expense.

  • The District will pay for your two-year induction program and provide you with a mentor.
  • The ACUSD allows year-for-year experience credit when placing employees on the salary schedule.

Current clear TB Test and DOJ fingerprinting at Amador County Unified School District for the hired candidate will be required.
