Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Sonographer to join our team at Mountain Park Health Center. As a Perinatal Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing low and high-risk obstetrics (OB) ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. You will work closely with our team of health professionals to provide exceptional patient care and ensure the highest level of diagnostic accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound procedures, including first trimester fetal anatomic assessment, evaluation of pregnant uterus for abnormalities, and detailed fetal anatomic survey.
  • Select proper transducer and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures, which may include 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging, color and spectral doppler, color mapping, M-mode, and other imaging modalities.
  • Obtain relevant history via electronic medical record (EMR) images according to protocol, review cases with the care team, and generate preliminary reports using structured reporting software.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment, and notify leadership when equipment failures occur.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot various imaging issues, and assist in the clinical instruction of new hires, OB/GYN residents, and medical students.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Program.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Nuchal Translucency & Nasal Bone Certification.
  • Recent relevant clinical experience in an OB or maternal fetal medicine (MFM) ultrasound setting.
  • Current CPR Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) years maternal fetal medicine experience.
  • ARDMS registry in Fetal Echocardiography (FE) & Cervical Length certification (CLEAR or FMF).
