Occupational Therapist Specialist

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Occupational Therapist to join their award-winning healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering occupational therapy services tailored to individual patient needs, within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
About the Role
- This role involves working with patients of various ages and backgrounds, providing expert care and guidance to help them achieve optimal functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and collaborative consultation with interdisciplinary teams.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, identifying areas of strength and weakness in patients' daily living activities and vocational skills.
- Promote patient education and empowerment through goal-oriented interventions, fostering independence and self-confidence.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of South Dakota.
- Valid driver's license and insurability by Avera Health's automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule and Compensation
This position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for PRN work, including Monday-Friday shifts and occasional weekends/holidays. The hourly rate range for this position is $31.75-$48.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
