Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Economics Instructor to join our adjunct faculty team at Lee College. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching freshman and sophomore-level Economics courses, as well as contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Teach Economics courses to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Course Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and update Economics curriculum, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Student Support: Provide academic support to students, including office hours, advising, and mentoring.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning, and provide feedback to students on their progress.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Economics or a related field, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Economics.
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in using learning management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Online Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching online courses, with a focus on creating engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Blackboard Experience: Familiarity with the Blackboard Learning Management System, with experience in creating and managing online courses.
