Progressive Care Unit Nursing Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Student Nurse Extern PRN to join our team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive team culture. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality patient-centered care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
- Working closely with the clinical team to create and implement care plans, performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses.
- Ongoing patient information collection and recording throughout the cycle of care.
- Assisting with patient mobility by regularly turning, positioning, and ambulating patients to and from other units/departments.
- Translating complex medical terminology to ensure patients/families/caregivers understand their medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects and follow-up measures.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Current enrollment and good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
- The ability to create and implement a personal career development plan, reviewed regularly by supervisor and/or preceptor.
- Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year of completed nursing school is preferred.
