Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain packaging line equipment to ensure optimal performance and throughput.
  • Perform routine checks and basic preventative maintenance on machines to ensure they are in an operable state.
  • Refill packaging materials, execute change over processes, and perform minor mechanical adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure accurate product and date labeling, and report any issues to relevant supervisors or managers.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Complete all relevant documentation in our company's WMS, including scrap and waste reporting.
  • Provide guidance and training to line personnel, and develop knowledge of products being packaged.

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow instructions and read equipment manuals.
  • Basic math skills and strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail relative to packing instructions and ability to keep up with shipping orders.
  • Previous packing experience within a warehouse environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand stationary for long periods and lift 40 pounds.
  • Repetitive movement while using various packaging materials.
  • Frequent use of hands in an industrial environment.
