Position Overview:
The Operating Room Nurse Educator plays a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of nursing staff within the perioperative environment. This position is essential for supporting advanced surgical techniques and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new nursing personnel through comprehensive training programs tailored to perioperative practices.
- Oversee the continuous development and implementation of evidence-based competency assessments for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and nursing directors to evaluate the educational needs of experienced staff and create relevant training sessions.
- Design and update educational materials, including protocols and guidelines, to reflect current best practices in perioperative nursing.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Experience in procedural nursing is essential.
