Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled System Technologist IV to join our team at Motorola Solutions. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for specialized systems and product applications, including troubleshooting software-driven electronics, provisioning communication system infrastructure, and optimizing RF and broadband architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for complex communications systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software-driven electronics, communication system infrastructure, and RF and broadband architecture.
  • Program, configure, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems.
  • Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
  • Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system implementation, upgrades, or support issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales personnel to effectively design, implement, optimize, and cutover advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in electronics, system technology, system management, or field service.
  • Experience with LMR, RF systems, radio communications, radio frequency, wired/wireless communication systems, IT systems, or networking equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Motorola Base Stations, Centracom Consoles, Channel Banks, and T1 Circuits.
  • Proficient in computer IP networks and configuration.
  • Experience working with RF infrastructure technologies, including Motorola SmartZone, Smartnet, Console Systems, ASTRO Conventional and Trunked equipment.
  • Skills in the use of various communications test equipment, including communication system analyzers, Ethernet link test sets, T1 test sets, TIMS, and digital RF power meters.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Motorola Conventional, SmartNet, Centracom, and MCC Console systems, Secure Operations, and ASTRO A7.x Digital systems and installation procedures.
  • Experience with P25, LMR, Smartnet, SmartZone, RF infrastructure, ASTRO systems, radios, or consoles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Programming Software suite.
