Meat Department Team Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Team Trainer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our store operations team, the Meat Department Team Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to new team members, supporting the development of our team leaders, and ensuring exceptional customer service and sales results.
Key Responsibilities- Training and Development
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new team members, focusing on meat department operations, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, and visual aids.
- Conduct regular training sessions, providing feedback and coaching to team members.
- Leadership and Support
- Support the development of our team leaders, providing guidance and coaching on leadership skills, communication, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with store leadership to identify training needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Provide ongoing support to team members, addressing questions and concerns, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Customer Service and Sales
- Ensure exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- 6 months of experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in a meat department or training role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, customers, and leadership.
- Ability to design and deliver training programs, with a focus on adult learning principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of meat department operations, including meat cutting, wrapping, and display.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer service and sales results.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Ability to work in a cold environment, with exposure to temperatures below 32°F.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
