Substitute Teacher

We are seeking a Substitute Teacher to support our mixed-age Montessori classrooms in the Richardson, Texas area. This is an on-call position where we will reach out to you as-needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are out sick or on vacation.

This role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at Guidepost Montessori. Many of our substitutes ultimately transition into full-time Assistant Teachers with us when new openings become available.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will work with a dynamic team of educators who are passionate about providing a high-quality education to our students. You will have the opportunity to work with children of various ages and abilities, and to develop your skills and experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a warm and friendly demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. A negative TB test within the last 12 months, a valid state background check, and a strong commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage for full-time teachers who are out sick or on vacation
• Support the educational and emotional needs of students in the classroom
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure a smooth and successful learning environment
• Develop and maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, parents, and colleagues
