Job SummaryA Building Substitute is responsible for carrying out the duties of the teacher in their absence. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a lead teacher, excellent verbal and communication skills, patience, strong attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate in a classroom, educating students and maintaining control of the classroom.
- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Bachelor's Degree
- PA Certification
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to keep students focused and on task.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience as a lead teacher or in a similar role.
