As a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a dedicated professional with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, including diabetes, renal issues, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:6 to ensure optimal care.
- Float within the unit as needed to meet patient care requirements.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements:
- Current Missouri State License as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience.
- MS/Tele experience is preferred.
- Ability to accommodate weekend shifts every other weekend.
- No on-call shifts or block scheduling.
Additional Information:
- Guaranteed hours provided for the duration of the contract.
- Open to traveling nurses who meet the distance requirements.
- The unit does not provide care for surgical patients.
- Typical patient population includes those with non-active chemotherapy cancer, abdominal rule-outs, and other complex medical conditions.
