Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the effective operation of respiratory therapy devices, such as ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and monitoring equipment.
  • Serve as a key resource for other healthcare professionals regarding clinical issues.
  • Educate patients and their families on managing respiratory conditions, treatment protocols, and the use of medical equipment.
  • Perform patient evaluations, coordinate care, and address compliance challenges.
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhere to HIPAA regulations, and uphold safety standards in patient interactions.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, ideally in home care or durable medical equipment.
  • Excellent communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Competence in basic mathematics, keyboarding, and navigating computer systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED, along with completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Current licensure in Pennsylvania and certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Valid CPR certification and a state Driver's License.
  • Additional state-specific licenses may be necessary depending on the location.
