Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing Advocate to join our team at Hope Solutions. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in helping individuals and families overcome homelessness and achieve stable housing.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling.
  • You will work closely with clients to assess their housing needs and develop personalized plans to secure safe and sustainable housing.
  • You will provide essential support services, including document readiness assistance, housing research, and landlord outreach.
  • You will collaborate with community partners to ensure coordination of care and maximize resources available to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Meet with clients to complete housing assessments and develop individualized plans for obtaining safe and sustainable housing.
  2. Assist clients with document readiness and provide guidance on accessing necessary resources.
  3. Research and identify potential housing opportunities for clients, building relationships with landlords and property owners as needed.
  4. Support clients in navigating the housing process, from application to move-in, and beyond.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a housing-related capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to drive an automobile and transport clients to appointments, as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $42,000 and $52,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and more.
