**Job Summary:**

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing seeks a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse for a contract/travel opportunity in Dallastown, PA. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care under the guidance of RNs or physicians.

**About the Role:**

  • This is a 9-week contract position with an ASAP start date.
  • The shift schedule is from 3P-11:30P.
  • You will receive competitive pay, including $1,309/32-hours as a travel nurse and $1,110/32-hours as a local nurse.

**Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver direct nursing care to patients, encompassing tasks like medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  2. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, involving physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews, to craft personalized care plans.
  3. Administer prescribed medications and treatments meticulously, guaranteeing accurate dosing and adherence to established protocols.
  4. Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries while actively monitoring for infection or complications.
  5. Continuously monitor and meticulously document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  6. Maintain detailed and precise patient records, recording changes in their condition, administered treatments, and medication management.
  7. Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices, with a focus on overall well-being.
  8. Administer and closely monitor intravenous (IV) medications and fluids, ensuring proper insertion and functioning of IV lines.
  9. Provide care for patients with urinary catheters, including insertion, routine maintenance, and diligent monitoring for complications.
  10. Collect patient samples, such as blood, urine, and sputum, for subsequent laboratory testing and analysis.
  11. Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
  12. Address patient comfort and safety requirements, including positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
  13. Respond swiftly and effectively during medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols and delivering basic life support as necessary.
  14. Adhere rigorously to infection control procedures, encompassing proper hand hygiene and utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent infections from spreading.
  15. Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies, in strict accordance with regulations and guidelines.
  16. Foster health and wellness by promoting preventive care measures like vaccinations and screenings, and aiding with health assessments.
  17. Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support.
  18. Stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
  19. In certain cases, LPNs may supervise certified nursing assistants (CNAs) or unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
