Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our team at teKnoluxion. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for software, hardware, configurations, and architecture.
  • Provide expert-level support for systems hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Train and educate end-users on the proper use of hardware and software, including large-scale training sessions.
  • Perform advanced software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Apply advanced knowledge in monitoring and tuning systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced personnel on workstation/server data integrity matters and the implementation of standard software and hardware solutions.
  • Lead complex data/media recoverability efforts, including schedule-driven system backups and database archive operations.
  • Conduct advanced to complex hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configurations guidelines.
  • Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in job area, typically through advanced education and work experience.
  • Evaluate and assess existing systems and plan long-term strategies.
  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
  • May serve as a team or task leader (not a people manager).
Requirements
  • Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly.
  • Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire.
  • Requires Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in desktop support or similar IT role.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support.
