Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Van Driver to join our team in the Van Nuys/Los Angeles area. As a Van Driver, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring timely and efficient pickups and deliveries of recyclable and reusable items. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Ridwell company vehicles in and around Los Angeles, primarily high-roof cargo vans, to provide expert service to our members.
  • Use your smartphone for GPS route navigation, management of member stops using the Ridwell Fleet app, and communication with Fleet Support.
  • Communicate any discrepancies upon attempting pickups to Ridwell Fleet Support and understand time management to ensure efficient routes.
  • Deliver Ridwell bins and bags to new members' homes, onboard new members by explaining the service and answering common questions, and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Load and unload items into and out of company vehicles, sort materials using care to ensure items can be reused or recycled, and operate light industrial warehouse machinery as needed.
  • Work safely and efficiently outdoors and in all weather conditions, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read and follow written or oral instructions in English.
  • Should live within 30 minutes from the Van Nuys Airport.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, own and use a smartphone, and communicate effectively digitally.
  • Must be 21 years or older with a valid California driver's license and be able to stand/walk for extended periods, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, and lift up to 49 lbs.
  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma required.
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday and possible Saturday shifts.
  • Previous route driving experience is strongly preferred.
