We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Astronomy courses at Canyons School District. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Astronomy and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Astronomy courses to students at Canyons School District
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to curriculum development
- Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Astronomy
- OR - Master's degree in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics
- OR - Any bachelor's degree in physics or astronomy AND master's degree in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics
- Experience teaching Astronomy courses
- Strong knowledge of Astronomy concepts and theories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
