Music Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team at Poplar Springs Hospital, a 183-bed acute care and residential facility. As a Music Therapist, you will provide ancillary therapy assessments, group activity therapy sessions, and develop and implement therapeutic activity sessions for our patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide music therapy assessments and consultations to patients and medical staff
Develop and implement music therapy sessions for groups and individuals
Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to develop treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress
Participate in performance improvement committees and other hospital committees as assigned
Requirements:
Certification in Music Therapy
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
One to two years of experience in music therapy or a related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
