Radiation Therapist

Job Summary

As a Radiation Therapist with Henry Ford Health System, you will play a critical role in administering radiation therapy to patients. This is a contingent position, meaning you will not be scheduled to work a specified number of hours per pay period. Our clinic is open from 7AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday, at the Macomb Township Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities

Administer radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation.
Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting anatomic parameters as needed.
Deliver patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.
Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
ARRT Board Registered or Eligible.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy, or Medical Sonographer.
